1. Introduction

Sensei Studios ("we," "us," or "our") operates Panda Merge ("the Game"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. The Game is designed with a privacy-first approach: we do not require account creation, we do not collect personal identifying information, and all game data is stored locally on your device.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Locally Stored Game Data

All game progress is stored on your device in a local save file (savegame.json). This data never leaves your device unless you manually transfer it. Locally stored data includes:

  • Game Progress: Panda collection, levels, grid positions, and merge history
  • Currency Balances: Zencoins, sugarcane, and Zen Essence amounts
  • Game State: Tutorial completion, harvest upgrade level, grid expansion status
  • Tile Borders: Border rarity assignments and inventory
  • Timestamps: Last save time and first login time (used for offline income calculations)
  • Statistics: Total pandas purchased, total zencoins earned, total merges completed
  • NFT Holder Status: Whether NFT ownership has been verified, and the wallet address used for verification

This data is saved automatically every 5 seconds and when the app is paused or closed.

2.2 Blockchain Wallet Data

When you connect a wallet to make in-game purchases or verify NFT ownership:

  • Wallet Public Key: Your Solana wallet's public address is used to initiate transactions and query token balances. Your public key is transmitted to the Solana blockchain network and RPC providers during these operations.
  • Private Keys and Seed Phrases: We never access, collect, store, or transmit your private keys or seed phrases. All signing operations occur entirely within your wallet application (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Seed Vault, etc.).

2.3 Transaction Data

When you make an in-game purchase:

  • Transaction details (sender, receiver, amount, token type) are submitted to the Solana blockchain network.
  • Transactions on Solana are permanent and publicly visible on the blockchain ledger.
  • We query transaction confirmation status through RPC providers.
  • We do not maintain our own database of your transaction history.

2.4 NFT Verification Data

When you verify Sensei Panda NFT ownership:

  • You sign an off-chain message using your wallet app. The message content is: "PandaMerge: verify wallet {your_public_key}".
  • We query the Solana DAS (Digital Asset Standard) to check if your wallet holds NFTs from the Sensei Panda collection.
  • Your wallet address and verification status are stored locally on your device.
  • No verification data is stored on our servers.

2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Names, email addresses, or contact information
  • Phone numbers or device identifiers
  • Location data or GPS coordinates
  • Browsing history or app usage analytics
  • Crash reports or diagnostic telemetry
  • Social media profiles or friend lists
  • Biometric data
  • Age, gender, or demographic information

3. Third-Party Services

The Game integrates with the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

3.1 Solana Blockchain Network

  • Purpose: Processing cryptocurrency transactions for in-game purchases.
  • Data Shared: Your wallet public key, transaction amounts, and token transfer details.
  • Retention: All blockchain data is permanent and publicly accessible.
  • Privacy Policy: Governed by the decentralized nature of the Solana network. There is no single entity controlling blockchain data.

3.2 RPC Providers (Solana RPC / Helius)

  • Purpose: Relaying transactions to the blockchain, querying balances, and estimating fees.
  • Data Shared: Your wallet public key, transaction data, and balance queries.
  • Note: RPC providers may log requests per their own policies. The Game uses public Solana RPC endpoints by default, with optional Helius RPC for enhanced performance.

3.3 Jupiter Finance API

  • Purpose: Fetching current SKR token prices for payment calculations.
  • Data Shared: Token mint addresses only. No wallet or personal data is sent to Jupiter.

3.4 Unity Ads

  • Purpose: Displaying optional rewarded video advertisements.
  • Data Shared: Unity Ads may collect standard advertising identifiers, device information, and ad interaction data as described in their privacy policy.
  • User Control: Viewing ads is entirely optional. You are never required to watch an ad.

3.5 Mobile Wallet Applications

  • Purpose: Wallet connection and transaction signing on Android via Mobile Wallet Adapter (MWA).
  • Data Shared: Transaction data is shared with your chosen wallet app for signing.
  • Note: Each wallet app (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, Seed Vault) has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We recommend reviewing your wallet app's privacy policy.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above solely to:

  • Save and restore your game progress on your device
  • Process in-game purchases through the Solana blockchain
  • Verify NFT ownership for the Sensei Panda holder bonus
  • Display token prices for payment method selection
  • Calculate offline income based on saved timestamps
  • Display optional rewarded advertisements

We do not use your information for profiling, targeted advertising, marketing communications, or sale to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

5.1 Local Storage

All game data is stored locally on your device in the application's private data directory. This data is protected by your device's operating system security. We do not operate servers that store your game data.

5.2 No Cloud Sync

The Game does not offer cloud save functionality. Your game progress exists only on the device where you play. Uninstalling the Game or clearing app data will permanently delete your local save data.

5.3 Blockchain Permanence

Any transactions you submit to the Solana blockchain are permanent and cannot be deleted or modified. This is an inherent property of blockchain technology and is not controlled by us.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Information is only shared with third-party services as described in Section 3 and only to the extent necessary to provide the Game's functionality.

7. Children's Privacy

The Game involves cryptocurrency transactions and is not intended for children under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the Game to conduct blockchain transactions, please contact us.

8. Your Rights and Choices

8.1 Local Data

You have full control over your locally stored game data. You can:

  • Delete your data by uninstalling the Game or clearing app data through your device settings.
  • Access your data by locating the save file in the Game's data directory.

8.2 Wallet Connection

  • You can disconnect your wallet at any time through the Game's settings.
  • Wallet connection is only required for purchases and NFT verification; core gameplay does not require a wallet.

8.3 Advertisements

  • You can choose not to watch rewarded advertisements. Ads are never shown automatically or without your consent.

8.4 Blockchain Data

  • Due to the immutable nature of blockchain technology, transaction data recorded on the Solana blockchain cannot be deleted or modified by us or any other party.

9. International Users

The Game may be used worldwide. By using the Game and conducting blockchain transactions, you acknowledge that your transaction data is processed on the decentralized Solana network, which operates globally. RPC providers and third-party services may process data in various jurisdictions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of this document. Your continued use of the Game after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
